Together with the Pius Hospital, the Evangelical Hospital Oldenburg is building a health data management system within the framework of the German Hospital Future Act. In addition to internal clinical use of the HIP CDR, another instance will be provided in the form of a telemedicine repository network to be used jointly by both hospitals.

We have been working since 2022 with our consulting partner EY-Parthenon to promote openEHR as an international standard for storing health data and to establish our HIP CDR in the hospital environment. The e-health and support experts in our telemedicine centre are providing user and technical assistance for the German electronic reporting and information system for infection control (DEMIS) established by the Robert Koch Institute.
RUB
In order to strengthen its research and teaching activities locally, nationally, and internationally, the University Hospitals of the Ruhr University of Bochum syndicate set itself the goal of building medical research data infrastructure that will enable straightforward data sharing in accordance with privacy laws. The HIP CDR is the backbone of this project.
SORMAS
Since 2017, we have been working with HZI to develop SORMAS, an epidemic management system initially deployed to combat mpox in Nigeria. It has now been used to contain a total of 37 infectious diseases in West Africa. Up to late 2022, SORMAS was also successfully used by health boards for case and contact tracing management during the COVID-19 pandemic.
St. Antonius
The St. Antonius Hospital in Cologne was one of the first institutions of its kind in Germany to take the next step in digitalisation as early as March 2023. The hospital is using vitagroup’s HIP CDR to store health data centrally—regardless of vendor or system.
Universitätsklinikum Essen
We have been working since 2020 with Essen University Hospital on the NEPHRO-DIGITAL healthcare project. The electronic nephrology health record developed and realised through this has led to better networking between service providers and therefore increased quality of treatment.
Universitätsmedizin Göttingen
Since 2021, we have been working on the CAEHR project coordinated by the University Medical Center Göttingen (UMG), which aims to improve cardiovascular healthcare through better health communication and the timely provision of relevant health information. Intelligent data-driven services are to be established along the entire treatment path for this.
